I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York State. My general practice provides psychotherapy to individuals and couples. I work with adults of all ages and offer once or twice weekly sessions.
I’m also the founder of Metropolitan Psychology Group, where we specialize in psychodynamic therapy for individuals, couples, and families.

Services
Individual Therapy
I have over a decade of experience in conducting individual therapy. As a generalist clinician, I treat a wide variety of issues and symptoms. I am especially versed in working with depression, anxiety, and the dynamics that can arise within intimate relationships and families.
Couples Therapy
I work with couples who may be stuck in a pattern of disagreement, struggling with intimacy or other disconnection, or would like to further understand their relationship dynamic. Some come for treatment during a challenging time, while others may come to deepen their relationship or before a transitional moment.
Clinical Supervision
I enjoy collaborating with other therapists through case consultation. I currently supervise clinicians working in private practices and other clinical settings.
I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University-Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and later earned a certificate from the Couples Therapy Training and Education Program at the William Alanson White Institute.
Some of the patients I have worked with extensively include:
Young adults facing transitions post-college
Older adults (ages 65+)
Pregnant and postpartum women
Parents (either in couples therapy or individual)
Education & Experience
Treatment Approach
I work predominantly as an insight-oriented therapist, helping patients understand how their upbringing and family of origin can inform their current difficulties. I also help patients examine problematic patterns of thought and behavior. I prefer to work collaboratively and regularly check in with my patients about how they are experiencing the process of therapy.
I am reimbursable as an out-of-network provider by most insurance companies. I am knowledgeable about the process of using your benefits and can help you obtain reimbursements.
For individuals without insurance or with financial need, I offer a sliding scale fee that we can discuss during our initial consultation.
